---Custom Shield Tutorial---
Thanks to rvdv2
Want a cool custom shield for your user lookup, but don't know how to make one? Well, if everything goes right, you'll find making shields a breeze after following these steps a few times.
Step 1: Idea
Before you do anything graphical, you probably already have an idea for your shield, like the image you want on the
shield and the text. But you can do a lot more, like different coloured shields, not just plain gold, bronze or
silver! So create a cool shield in your head, and go to step 2!
Step 2: Blank Shield
This is pretty much the hardest part of making a shield, but can be real easy with a little help; making blank shields.
I won't cover the steps to make one here, but I'll give you some pre-made ones instead. Changing the colours
shouldn't be too difficult:
Step 3: Graphics
Because I try to be as efficient as possible, the next steps will tie in with a shield request I recently got, namely
this one: "I would like a purple shield. it needs to say Games Master on it...and I don't know what
image I want. Um, pick one that has to do with games". Now, the first thing to do is find an image that has
to do with games. After a little brainstorming I decided to use this:

Now pasting it onto a shield is easy. Just paste it as a new image, get rid of the white stuff around it and copy and paste it onto your shield. You should now have something like this:

You can add more images this way, if you want.
Step 4: Text
Almost done! All you need is a little text at the bottom... in the font Neopets uses, of course! This font is not Arial
as I've often said, but it's Coolvetica. Adding the
text shouldn't be too difficult, just use the text tool most drawing programs have. The finished result should look
like this:
You should now have a neat little shield to put on your user lookup. The code to put them on is:
Note: You have to copy and paste this into your User Preferences. You'll probably also have to change the left and top values in the code a little until your shield looks right, also make sure the width and height of the image are correct, else it'll display all squished.
